SPRING BIRD

Saw this little chairseat  somewhere online -hooked by Cindy Wiltermood!
I especially like it for its interesting and colourful
BACKGROUND!
Such a nice way to surround the black bird and  bring colour into the mat!!!
I really like the use of the
DIRECTION of HOOKING LINES
to express  this little bird in the  nature that surrounds it!
Also the braided  edge is a wonderful finish for any mat but here I like the soft colours contrasting the background and bird !
It is hard to join all the 3 strips in a circle -well done Cindy!

JANUARY

Where oh were has January gone!
I suddenly realize it is almost over and  I have not been into Blogging here - I always think winter is slow and lots of time to do everything , not so it seems . . . .

Today for some reason on hearing of the pope letting  several DOVEs fly into the air in Rome from his balcony  . . .they were met by a seagull and a hungry crow . . . .
This IMAGE  came  to mind . .
Not sure where I saw it . . .somewhere  on Pinterest probably . . . .

I love it for all this negative spaces that we all forget are so important when hooking a rug  . . . .and especially in the designing moments . . .
